Look what just happened to me. I send my troop to help someone. He was disintegrated and after winning the fight he come back from death and he had full experience !!!

And .... I died him in next fight :(

I couldn't make screenshot I don't know why.

Heh, I was so pleased when I got that outcome, having thought I'd lost a crewmember on a blue option of all things. Does anyone know if that's always the outcome of choosing the blue Engi option for this event?

I have not seen ANY crew member let a long a Engi one killed when a Blue option is picked. One time When I have a Engi and a Rock and the same choice pop up, I picked the rock for one and had some scrap, fuel and drone parts and the next time the same plus a gun (that I sold later).

I think you are talking about the virus event where you are asked for help with crowd-control or quarantine or something. The event Brosper mentioned is where an Engi ship accuses you of having a computer virus which is deadly to Engi. Twice now I have chosen the Engi option which seems to always lead to one of your Engi dying for the duration of the battle and then being reconstructed as 'Virus' with full experience in everything.

Whatever you do, don't take this option if you're playing as Engi B and have no other crew yet. Instant game over.

Bigblueelf: Oh. Can't say then lol.
This was a cool event. Was annoying as hell at first since I thought I knew where all the events were that killed crew even with a clone bay, and then I get the message saying "the clone bay won't reconstitute your crew member because the virus will still be active". Was pretty pissed off during the battle.

Then after the battle he came back as Virus! I was pleasantly surprised.
