My trouble is this, I have browsed the forums for MediaVP's dl location and also the FS2:OSP files, but I cant seem to find a place that will allow me to DL newest version. Windows just gives me a connection issue when I try to DL the file I find. Not very help full it is.
So please, please! someone help me I want so badly to play this old classic again, but not before I find the ugraded textures to use, or atleast a link that works.

I looked through it and tryed the installer linked on that page and it allowed me to download it fine from there.

Well its a step closer and definitly one I will keep.
As always theres a but in the end, I cant find the 3.6.10 files anywhere, when I used the linky from hard-light it just comes up with a connection error... Dns or some odd thing like that. I got the medial VP files allready, but for them to work I need FSOopen 3.6.10, thats the one thats giving me a hard time finding them.
Guess I will have to look some more for a windows verision of them.
God I am starting to miss that ole game more and more the more I see the screens.

I can't find 3.6.10 also but I did find 3.6.9 which will allow you to run with the high res stuff anyway.

The server hosting all the FSO engine files seems to be having issues. Most likely the issue will be resolved. The best course of action right now is to have patience. Keep trying to download FSO once in a while and eventually you'll get it.

This is correct. As close as you'll get is the FreeSpace Port, which is essentially the FS1 resources (sounds, missions, anis, etc.) all converted to FSO. Since the FS2 engine is basically an improved FS1 engine the transition is pretty smooth and works well.
