I'm now aware, maybe this question might have been asked before but How can I update my game through gog, last time I had to reinstall the game. Is there any other way to do it? And second question, will the save game files be working after update or will I have to start all over (which I'm happy to do) ? :)

I am not familiar with how to update the game as a user on gog tbh. Depends from when is your savefiles. Most of time you don't need to start from the beginning, only if we touch the core system. :)

You need to install and use GOG Galaxy to update your game(s), if you don't want to use the full game installers or the patches.
