Hello, Gingertips! I notice then when Foxtail is starting, there's a screen with the words "Wintermute engine". Might this engine one day be available to other developers? I can't think of a point-and-click game engine that's free to use- maybe yours will be the first.

Please give it some thought.

It is already: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wintermute_Engine
Also, check out one of the most widely used engines: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventure_Game_Studio
Thank you! I thought it would be something proprietary and am glad to be proven wrong.
Also if you are looking for somethin more advanced you might want to check out the Escoria for Godot.

Edit: They initially created this for The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonca and Pizzaboy

You're welcome! There is another game here on GOG that is mae with Wintermute and it is J.U.L.I.A. Check it out and see how much different it looks from Foxtail (both look stunning in their own way).
