I decided to just look it up on Facebook and luckily the devs only forgot to post here in the forum but not about the game. Here are some news directly taken from their FB page :)

"Hi, Foxies!
The Fourth Chapter is out of control!
I feel a little bit guilty for not sharing any news for a long time. I write to inform you that we’re working on the game daily. The Fourth Chapter is getting really close to its final form. Gosh, it’s really huge!
Also, we’ve decided to improve the game’s graphics. I promise you’ll like it. The locations will be even more atmospheric. We are also improving the locations from the released chapters. And we will probably change the Third Chapter (we’ll add more actions and make fewer conversations). So you will have a reason to play the first three chapters again – to see all the changes and improvements.
All in all, the work is in full swing!"


The entry was from 03/29/2021 so quite recent.

Really glad now to know that the game hasn't been cancelled since I really enjoyed the past chapters.

I don't use FB, so thanks for letting the rest of us know.

Honestly I'm not sure what to make about the statement of improved graphics... I think the original graphics were beautiful and it's hard for me to imagine how they could be improved. I'm worried the change in graphics will be for the worse, but I'll reserve judgement until I see it.

thx for update many people arent on facebook because its garbage, this game development is so slow tho i hope that 4th chapter will be good

im worried that they are pissing on gog users who buy their game i hope its because theyre so busy in developing the game and not because they stopped carring

Highly unlikely that they just don't care about GOGers since they did not update the game on Steam or elsewhere either. Sometimes game development is slow . especially in small indie teams and in most cases it is a sign that the end result is worth the wait. Otherwise you could get some beta like CP2077 in the end ;)

This game was the only time I ever decided to support something "in development".

It will also be the last time I ever do such a thing, the fact this isn't finished yet is ridiculous.

I bought FoxTail in 2018 to support a small studio, and I hope they add translations so I can enjoy the game.
I didn't imagine that the developers would have a presence on Facebook which I also don't use for many reasons, and that they would forget about GOG specialising in games.

Thanks for the info, I assumed that the development was cancelled due to a serious personal accident.
But it's still disappointing, all of which sounds like Project Zomboid.

It’s a confusing feeling.
I am divided between the desire to see the FoxTail project completed, and the sadness of the events would make me abandon the game if it could preserve the security of the development team.

At the moment, there is a war going on in Ukraine with the occupying forces of russia. We do not make any plans for translations. For now, our job is to survive. The development of the project will continue after the end of the war.
