This is an informational message more than a question since I found a solution for my particular issue.

The game was crashing after two to five minutes consistently. My manually overclocked graphics card was the reason.
(Asus Strix RTX 2070 Super)
When set to it's default settings the game seems to be working fine.
Thanks for letting us know.

Are you running with Vsync enabled?

Did you notice any unusually high temperatures or GPU use whilst manually overclocked?

Is this card not overclocked out of the box?

Vsync on. I will test it without Vsync. This card is very stable and cools well. I've never seen more than 64C with any game or stress test when manually overclocked.

Yes, it is factory overclocked (which the game runs stable on). Only when I use custom overclocked settings the game crashes as previously stated. Honestly this game doesn't need an overclocked 2070 :)

I read somewhere about the latency/queue order of certain commands particular to the RTX GPUs causing many engines to crash. It's hit and miss with this card (manually overclocking only; factory overclocked seems rock solid.)

My exact card: ROG-STRIX-RTX-2070S-A8G-GAMING

EDIT: Loaded new game "hills". Ran the game with all graphic settings maxed, Vysnc off. Max temp: 62C @ 99% load (115-120 FPS camera facing down, 80-90 looking at horizon).

Off topic, but great game so far! I'm enjoying it thoroughly.

Apologies, my question about Vsync was really to make sure it was on.

Great to hear it is working for you with factory settings and thanks for the info.
