Rygell: As pf Feb 6th...
Editting a sturucture doesn't seem to work. Attempted to add extras to my Manor, Market and Church. None of which were actually built and I can't seem to find a way to schedule their builds.
Arsen7: I can only guess, but maybe it's a visual thing? When you "Edit" a structure, you add new pieces, and then you click on "Start construction", the added pieces shall be shown as just some sticks on the ground (easily hidden by trees), and keep growing when there is a builder erecting it.
Maybe the problem was that there was no free builder (or lack of materials)? Or maybe you haven't clicked on "Start construction" after adding parts?
I have just checked it in my version, and it seems to work.
Rygell: Soldiers: I don't seem to understand how they are trained. I only have a few options for transferring to Scholar or Soldier, and they're usually already assigned a job. I prefer to assign my builders to new openings and new citizens are assigned as builders.
Arsen7: I'm not sue whether that's what you mean, but to
assign a soldier, you click the Wooden Keep, and there shall be an option "Assign available villager".
To
train soldiers you need at least one "Training Dummy". Solisers will come and "fight" them, increasing their training level from "Untrained" (or "Wounded") to "Fully Trained".
When you send your soldiers to war (from time to time you get such missions), they will also gain levels (1 to 6), and once having 6, they will offer you a chance to be upgraded from Novice to Soldier and then Knight (if I remember the names precisely).
Sending to war is done not from the Wooden Keep panel, but from the top-right option, cleverly named "#.ARMY_MANAGER" ;)
This is also the place, were you can give your soldiers a weapon - a sword or later a spear.
The interface of the game is still very ..."rough". I guess they are focusing on other parts as for now. That's the fun of playing "in development" games. ;)
Was this information of any help?
Editting: It won't let me "Start Construction" when adding new bits. It's not a builder, usually have plenty just standing around, or material issue, again, usually have enough. So, even if I do Start Construction, like say the Market, it'll add new stalls, but not any decor items. Same with Church and Manor, unless it was a part of the orginal build, new bits won't get added, specifically decor items.
Training: Specifically reassigning to... Every new citizen generally gets assigned as a builder and then reassigned from there. I like to make sure everyone has a job. The question I'm running into is, Do citizens need to be a certain level to be assigned as soldiers, etc.? I just can't seem to pinpoint since the first round they'll take anyone, including my Unemployed, then after that they are addigned a job, tehn they have to be level 2... Now I just don't know...
In Developement... I was working straight code on new text based MUs in high school. This is just me getting old and feeling like my step dad while watching his wife's kids put together the fam's new PC before he can get to page two in the manual. I may be a visual learner, but bitch, you show me the code, I'll show you where you pucked up. :P
