When creating a character (or in any menu in the opening screens), I can't actually tell what's currently selected. The white selector indicator appears halfway on some races, but as I move it around, the visible selection doesn't match what I pick. Unless humans can only be fighters, thieves, or fighter-thieves. Which I'm pretty sure is not the case.

Also, some text is cut off in the credit screen: any chance there's a config program I can run, or a cfg file I can edit?

BTW--My DSR is set to off, if that matters.

Well, it works fine in windowed mode, so I guess that's how I'll play it...

YEP, had the same issue. you can open up the dosbox configuration, it's located in the game installation folder.

click on the advanced bar and activate double buffering, that fixed it for me.
