Hi,
I'm pretty sure you can dual-class in EoB, but I'm not sure which in the series is the first one to allow it? I know you can do it in EoB3, but any earlier?

Cheers,
V.
It's also possible in EoB 1 and 2. (Humans excluded.)

That's multiclassing. Only humans can dual-class

It works different to multiclassing, where you progress in all classes at onece. With dual classing, you "stop" in one class and start another one. All abilities of the "stopped" class are inaccessible until you reach a higher class than the stopped one.

So say you start as fighter, to get that nice high strenght and HP and go to lvl3. Then you dual-class to mage. All the fighter skills are inaccesible until you reach lvl 4 with the mage, but once you're with the mage at lvl4, you get the better of your current mage level saves/THAC0 or fighter lvl3, and can use all weapons fighter or mage can use.
There is no dual classing in the EOB series.

I do always get those two mixed up. Anyway, yeah, it's the same system for all three EoB games, so what stryx said.

ok, I was pretty sure there was, but it's been ages since I played it so I guess I was remembering it wrong. Pity.
Non-humans can be multiclass characters, but that's not dual classing. In the EOB series humans can only be single class characters and they can't change their profession after character generation.
