pfournier33: Not sure if any of you folks are still around here, but thought I'd ask.

Any advice on how to handle ASE3? I had a good time with EOB1/2 with minor issues (map loss in 2 would happen when getting new party members for example) but nothing like the issues with ASE3.

Like does it really need to be reloaded every single screen? Its going to lose my maps often? That really makes this feel like too much work.

Its a shame. I know EOB3 isn't supposed to be as good as the other two, but I'd still like to play it.
I rewrote ASE3 for the Steam release, and it works at least a bit better.

I had plans to release the updated ASEs for the GOG versions too, but just haven't had time for that.

Oh yeah? Maybe I'll check out that version.

Are you the original dev for ASE? If so thank you very much for it, I had never actually played through these games despite trying EOB1 many times as a kid. Very appreciated!

I am.

Much thanks from me as well. It's so much more fun to play through these 2 games (I am pretending the third one doesn't exist) with a map.
With all walls often looking the same, it's otherwise so easy to get lost. (Yeah, I guess people are supposed to draw their own maps on paper, but that's an awful lot of work.)

I've done my own maps for some games, but when EOB has the game teleport you with no visual indication that can be nearly impossible to map
