I've googled and browsed this forum, but no one seems to be able to get this to run in a window without using a virtual machine.

Is that really the only way to get this to run in a window?

I had read about dxwnd and tried it but no matter what I did the game still launched fullscreen :(

Sadly I must confirm that dxwnd does nothing to Final Liberation. No windowed mode, no chance in resolution. Seems that this tool is not working with this game which is a shame.

Even more annoying - I use two screens. And when playing this game I cannot move my mouse out of the game itself. Windows wouldn't even react on alt+tab. Only alt+crtl+entf brings me out of the game.
This is a serious handycap with this otherwise awesome game.
