I just tried your method but am still experiencing the lag.

I'm really unclear as to how to fix this...I'm not a programmer and haven't a bleedin' clue what registry entries or any of this code means.

If I can't get the game running, can I ask for a refund? If I switch on the movement/range shadow it lags and crashes.

This is rubbish, barely works.

I'm using Windows 10 LTSB 2016 (10.0.14393 Build 14393)

I'm not setting any Windows compatibility modes on either the game's exes ( Epic40k.exe / WH40K.exe )
Movies play and there's no lag when switching between the movement/firing overlays.

Chaos Gate is working perfectly well too.

Until WH40K Sanctus Reach gets more content (i.e. Imperial Guard) I'll be playing Final Liberation.

Worked! Game still lags, but its a 1 second lag I can live with and not a 1 min slow shadow processing.

Yes yes yes thank you it works perfectly! I'm using a windows 10 laptop but using compatability of win95 with this new draw wrapper! amazing!

Does anyone know how to get this dll working with wine? I've added the files but don't seem to fix the draw bug

I've tried the regedit and the downloadable patch. This USED to work like a charm for me. However, now, all I get is a black screen. I can hear audio -- movies play just fine, but every time a movie plays, the screen blacks out. If anyone could give me a hand, I would be extremely appreciative.

I followed the procedure, but the values in my registry are different, so I didn't insert the fixer text because I didn't want to mess up my registry by putting it in the wrong place.

My registry field for Final Liberation reads:

$~ RUNASADMIN WINXPSP2 DWM8And16BitMitigation HIGHDPIAWARE

Where should I insert:
8And16BitTimedPriSync 8And16BitAggregateBlts Layer_ForceDirectDrawEmulation

Thanks, been really wanting to play this again. I had it running a couple years ago on an older machine/Windows OS and was sad that my newer laptop screwed up the game.

I remember it fixed the stuttering for me, maybe some window 10 update messed it up?

Oh well, i found another fix i'll create a new thread about it.
