Damn man, thanks so much. This is the info I needed (and it looks like the forums are broke atm so someone else prob posted it but only OPs are showing or something). Thank you for taking a moment and sharing your solution. Any idea if this change alters anything important?

Have you tried the video fix (the one forcing videos to play in 16-bit)??

What FIX?

EDIT: I was able to find 2 files that could fit the description but my AV reported them as viruses. Could be a false positive but...

As far as I can tell it just stops game from playing in-game cut scenes...

To my surprise - it seems it worked for me. Avira says the archive contains a virus but Dr. Web says it's clean - I assume that is false -positive. Nevertheless I run the game and patch inside Sandboxie and as I said before - it looks to me that game runs flawlessly. I got intro, before mission cut-scene and I enetred first mission. I think you should inform someone at GOG QA if they know about this patch.
