I wonder how quickly they're able to roll out a patch, "tomorrow at the earliest" doesn't really sound confident. I guess they have to update the exe, but also test it and put it in a patch installer and make it available for download here. If I remember correctly, the patch for Hotline Miami took several days (weeks?) to arrive on GOG, so I hope that isn't the case here...
You guys forget that steam games are rather simple to update, you just have to upload the fixed build and then it generally gets downloaded, GOG has procedures for patches and new builds they often have to receive a DRM free version of it, then not only that package it up in their installer, hell they probably already got the patch this morning but its probably not ready for prime time yet, but GOG I think we would appreciate if you could get the patch out today if possible, I know I would and many others who posted in this thread.

It hardly takes any time to wrap up a patch installer, and if the worst comes to the worst, the guy doing the port could put up a temporary fix for those who knows how to UNZIP a file and copy it to the right place. How far into the game does this crash occur?

After the first 30 minutes i would say, when you start exploring "really".

I think it's related with anti-cubes but not sure. Until we can have the v1.02, be aware of it. If you're somewhere with an enigma, it's probably a "potential unsafe area".

Cheers. OK, so we need that patch urgently alright.
The game seems pretty reliable apart from that one crash (which appears to affect 2 rooms). I don't think this one bug is enough cause to wait out a fix, but of course that's your choice. There are many dozens of other areas and secrets in the meantime. :)

SuperSunshine21: Crashed twice here as well, also a block puzzle room.
Same issue here... only it seems to have broken the savegame in my case :(
I know problems happen, but WHY, OH WHY DID IT HAVE TO DO THAT?
On a more positive note: I love the game, so replaying it is not that much of an issue :)
Just beware... do not solve the puzzles until the patch is live or you might loose all of your progress in the game!

UPDATE:

What do you know, the game actually created a backup of my previous savegame :)
Should you run into a similar issue: Open the explorer and enter %AppData%\FEZ as path.
There's a SaveSlot0 and a SaveSlot0_Backup file. Just rename SaveSlot0 to anything and SaveSlot0_Backup to SaveSlot0. Done. Wish there were more games that implemented such an easy solution.
