I have the same issue, on Windows 8 with ATI Radeon M4670. Some suggested changing the screen resolution to 1280x720 before starting up, but it did not work for me, sadly.
I noticed that in the error log it says the application version is 1.0.0.0. Did you apply the universal update? It's available from your GOG account page, if you click on Fez you should see the update listed just below the installer. Once the game's installed, just run that update and it should update the game to v1.07. Perhaps that will fix the problem?

Thank you so much! It definitely worked on my Win7 Toshiba Laptop, but as for my Win8 Desktop, it's just a video card problem? Oh well, I play most games on my laptop, so thank you!

I'm glad it worked! As for Windows 8, I'm not sure how to fix that problem. I'm still using Windows 7.
