Hello. The expansions for FEAR1 won't start for me, while the main game works. Both Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate give an "Error 8016". The popup window states that it can't activate a security module and gives a securom link. Anyone else having this? I'm playing on a Windows 10 PC (i7 6700k, GTX970, 8Gb DDR4).
Have you tried to modify it? Ask support.

No, I didn't do anything with the games, or the exe files.
I can't say for certain, but I know Windows 10 depreciates support for games with SecuRom or SafeDisc copy protection and the only way to get those games to launch is to use a crack of some sort. That shouldn't be the case for the GOG copy though, even with the traces that other users have reported thanks to the multiplayer. I would try reinstalling the game again and if that does not work, definitely contact support.

Same. Do you have Windows 10 as well ? I've heard games with Securom are not excepted to work.

GOG, wtf ?

Yes, I'm on Win10 as well. Since then I have discovered that GTA4 (on STEAM!) does the securom errot too. For the F.E.A.R. expansions, you can download a crack, which "fixes" this error.

Screw this, I bought the game legally on a site that promises no DRM. I think GOG should take care of it.

Technically it's a Windows issue, but GOG should try to do something on their end. Have you tried to contact support here on the site?

Not yet. Actually I own the games for more than a year and never played them, I just wanted to check them out a little so I entered the expensions and found uot about it.

Try to contact support then. They usually reply pretty fast.
It works fine on my Win10 Home but I found that some people have problems running certain games when logged on overprotecive and restrictive 'live' accounts, next time try 'local' with User Account Control disabled completely.

Thanks for the tip! I will try it out at some point.
