Ok played Farcry when it came out....had fun, so when I saw it on GOG I signed up just to get it....

Problem, I like exploring once I play thru the game..... I use the "god" mode to do this.
None of the cheats seem to work with this GOG version.

I even tried to add the -devmode to the shortcut and it refuses to allow me to add it.
I did fine a decient dev modee to replace the games devmode, but it's useless if I can't add the -devmode.

HELP!!! (and thanks ;-)

The -devmode option works fine with the GOG version, I use it myself. My shortcut is:

"C:\Games\Far Cry\Bin32\FarCry.exe" -devmode

Maybe you've installed into Program Files or something similar (which I really don't recommend doing with games on Vista or Win7, hence why mine is installed into C:\Games).
Hmmm.... I installed the game on my gaming drive.

My path is "G:\Far Cry\bin32'Far Cry.exe" -devmode
As I keep getting the stupid... "Incorrect pathway, chech to make sure you have the correct path" or something to that effect, I'm guessing either the game is having problems detecting its installed on another drive.
I know all games put some files on the C:\ drv (like game companies never thought someone might actually want to install a game elsewhere than the C:\ drv.)

Now I think about it, seems I had the same problem back in '07 when I played it the first time....(I used cheats back then to explore w/o dying a lot once I completed the game.)
This could be problematic as my C:\ drv is getting nearly full...... RATZ!
Ah! Got it....had to start a new game for the cheats to work..... thanx.

Had to start a new game? Odd, I didn't have to do that. Though I also use a custom devmode LUA file so that I have functions such as save at any time, god, noclip, etc, all at button presses, but I only actually use the save at any time option as I only cheat when I absolutely have to in order to get through a game if I'm utterly stuck.

Glad you got it sorted though. :)
