Is the reason GOG doesn't have Far Cry 3, because of the forced uplay login crap? Iirc, the force install the malware punkbuster too. It seems the like the a perfect game for GOG, being 8 years old.

Thanks

Yeah, I think it's because of UPlay. I looked on Steam, and since Far Cry 3 every game in the series needs Uplay or Ubisoft account to run. I don't see why it would be a problem to release 8 years old game DRM free, but as it seems Ubisoft isn't really interested into releasing their games on GOG anymore.
I was afraid of that, too bad and thanks.

If there is good will, it can be removed. Maybe one day.

And now it's the perfect time. Ubisoft is phasing out Uplay...

I don't trust Ubisoft at all. I think Uplay's replacement is DRM of an even worse kind, but one can hope. If FC3 needed Uplay, and it's several years old, maybe it could make more sense to release a DRM-free version on GOG than to port its DRM to whatever new DRM is Ubisoft concocting now.
