I can't access the sights on the sniper rifle!! How do you do this!?
Also while Im here....I cant access the cheats as the game doesnt recognise that squiggly line!|

As far as I know, the iron sight is assigned to right mouse button by default.

About the cheats, you should execute Far Cry with "-devmode" parameter.
If you Start Far Cry from your Desktop Icon, right click on it and left-click on "Properties".
There is a line named "Target", which should be something like this: "C:\Installation Folder\GOG.com\Far Cry\Bin32\FarCry.exe". You have to add "-devmode" (without quotes) at the end of this line, then click "Ok" and try to run the game.

Why would you want cheats? Way more fun without 'em ;) But I won't judge you if you really do want to use them.
