I watched the demo video of Far Cry with 64-bit parch on youtube. It's amzing. My Far Cry now uses FCAM, so I installed the AMD64 patch and exclusive content upgrade (on win 7 x64 & Intel core2 duo ). But I cannot tell the graph different between AMD64 patch & FCAM?

Is FCAM already have the same quality or better than AM64 patch? But the file size (17mb &4xxmb ) is a big different? Or I really need a AMD cpu to get the maximize graph?

BTW, Is it possible FCAM run with AMD64 patch?

FCAM includes some high res textures and has a few of the 64-bit tweaks put into it for 32-bit, such as the long range view distance. However, FCAM is more than that. New textures are being created for the game and bots for multiplayer, along with some botmatch maps, and also the game's AI has been tweaked (not being able to see you through tents for example, which the official 1.4 patch broke). Full details are on the FCAM MODDB page.
Thanks for reply.

I check the FCAM site again. Just found I made a big mistake all along.

I thought the FCAM 1.83 "patch" is mod itself. So I never install the FCAM 1.7 "Full Version" totally , just install the "patch". Totally stupid I am. :p
No worries. Yeah, the patch just does the game changes/fixes, the full version puts all the new textures into it.

I'm holding out for FCAM 2.0 (whenever that may be) so I keep checking the MODDB page every now and then to see how the mod is progressing.
Make sure you get FCAM 1.7, and then patch with the latest (right now it's 1.86, but he plans to release more soon and is working on 2.0 with better graphics). Still not 100% stable, but very impressive and updated with dedicated frequency.

So, the best thing is to do a fresh install of Farcry, then FCAM 1.7 then patch 1.83 and then patch 1.87?
No, just basic 1.7 and then whatever the most recent patch is (1.89 right now, might go to 1.9 because of a hang glider and sound glitch). He had 1.83 up as an archive in case he broke something, and it has never gone down.
So if I want the fixes but want to play with the original graphics i could just install patch 1.89? Or it will breake something?
