I'm just curious as though it's unlikely Bethesda have a habit of spin-offs, Redguard, Shadowspire and now Elder Scrolls Online. Would people be interested in the original Florida setting for Tactics 2? I'm not from Bethesda so don't get excited :P I'm just curious.
I dont care whether your more a fan of tactics or more a fan of fallout 1 and 2, I'll take any sequel made by the original company :)

Well the closest you've got thus far is Obsidian's Fallout New Vegas. I don't think Bethesda plan on giving them another project in the franchise.
What do you base it on? I've looked up VGchartz, which shows that FNV outsold FO3 by a sizable margin:

http://www.vgchartz.com/game/33664/fallout-new-vegas/

http://www.vgchartz.com/game/13869/fallout-3/

That doesn't factor in Steam sales, though I wager they'd be even more in favor of FNV.

Would it have done that well without Bethesda's Fallout 3 in the middle though?

The first Fallout was a great game for its time but sold poorly. Baldurs Gate was by far the more commercially successful Interplay-published RPG in 1997.

Please be untrue... I want a semi-sequel to Fallout 4 :)

Also doesn't factor in console sales (though they're available on another tab) which count for vast majority (about 85%) of the sales and are higher for FO3. NV is not far behind though and can be considered a hit. Can't see why Obsidian wouldn't get another crack at it based on the figures.

Anyway, yeah. I'd like to see a new fallout tactics. The first one was real fun and nice.
If memory serves there was to be a followup but it was shelved.

I loved Fallout Tactics and I would love a sequel or even a second game unrelated to the first, as long as it kept to the same gamestyle as the first (no change to an FPS)

Oh yeah, I wouldn't like the story to have any relation with the first one. That was the weak link.
The game was at it's best early on, going against raiders and such. The same goes for all fallouts actually.

I was thinking more about the ending of Fallout tactics, it would make a new game in a similar setting near impossible.
Fallout Tactics 2 would be interesting.
Not sure how they would go about it though.
Maybe you play as a raider/outlaw/whatever instead of BoS? That would be interesting.

That's the original Fallout Tactics 2 setting I mentioned. It's where a G.E.C.K had gone out of control in Florida and the Brotherhood had been sent in. Not much more known about it other than that and there'd be giant mutant alligators. :)

Uh, what? Fallout was an unexpected hit release. It was a success both in term of critical response and sales. There's a reason Interplay adopted the GNN logo as its own after Fallout released.
I'd like to have a tactical game in Fallout universe but only if enough attention is paid to avoid major plot inconsistencies.

Don't know about original Florida setting though, I really doubt Bethesda would use any of old Interplay ideas.

But this can be a good game. A tactical game could fit good for mobile devices.
