Ever since I was forced to upgrade to Windows 10, I have been unable to play this game. I get to the point where I click "new game" and it crashes to the desktop (no error, just a flash of the screen and I'm back to the desktop). I've tried everything to get this game to work (Intel graphics bypass, unofficial patch, etc). But I am never able to get into a new game.

Does anyone really know what the issues with the game and Win10 are and if they will ever be fixed?

I played it 2 month ago in windows 10 for 133h and never have any problem with some texture and gameplay mods.

African_wildlife: This is not a general issue. Do you have a dedicated GPU?

I have an Intel graphics chip on the MB and a nVidia graphics card...which from what I've read is the death sentence on trying to get this game to work :(

I played it on Windows 10. I got a similar error.

I was able to get it working by starting the game by double clicking the exe file rather than than using gog galaxy.

No idea why, but it worked for me.
