Anyone else experience this in New Vegas?

I'm on a Win10 laptop trying to run Fallout 3. I can make changes to options, but the game crashes for me when I try and start a new game. Already tried compatibility mode, reinstalled directX, and rebooted.

I'm experiencing this in Fallout 3. It also warns me about compatibility issues. Perhaps it needs to be run in compatibility mode?
first three things to try on mod-free, vanilla setup:
- XP SP3 compatibility
- admin rights
- removing any traces of settings from previous installation, if any (all .INI files)
(usually in Documents\My Games\Fallout 3(NV) )

I tried that, but nope... Like I said, if I click play the games runs fine, but the options crash.
Not sure about New Vegas, but I figured out how to get Fallout 3's launcher to show options properly. Thing is, you guys might not like the answer.

In addition to doing those things, you need to download and install the GFWL installer.

That is untrue. Maybe we missed some redist package, but GFWL itself is not needed.
It will be investigated tomorrow.
I am experiences crashes in Fallout 3 on windows 10. I thought this was meant to be fixed to be able to run on modern operarting systems. So far it's a joke. I'm not going to jump through hoops just to get a game that is said to be compatiable and turns out isn't.

I had to restart my whole pc to get it close the game.

If this isn't fixed I'll be requesting a refund

Well, Fallout3.exe works by itself just fine, but in order to use the options menu in the launcher, I needed GWFL. Not sure why, and it seems super random.

I'm sure it will be fixed.
I figured out a fix that'll work till they get this issue fixed. Go to C:\Users\<user>\Documents\My Games\Fallout3 and open the file FalloutPrefs.ini in notepad and there you'll find all the graphical options. It's not as convenient as options but you can still set them all.

Constant crashing here too. I can start the game and play it some, but I get random crashes. Usually during loading screens. Playing this on Win 10. Seems like this version suffers exaclty from the same issues as the retail version or Steam version. Only difference seems that Gog.com version doesn't have GfWL. The game stutters exaclty like Steam version and only fix to it is the Stutter Remover mod that is available on Nexusmods.

Same situation for me, but desktop.
Has anyone been able to fix this?
