I'm only in the Arroyo village and I've completed 2 side quests so far.. this game is really good, but the only thing is that i always miss enemies in combat. Why is it so hard to hit your enemies? How can I improve that accuracy of hits?
This question / problem has been solved by Petrellimage
What fighting style are you using? Weapons?
Please give us specific details of what is happening so that we may solve your problem for you.

invest skillpoinst to combat style of your choise during level ups. You also should have chosen one of the combat skills as your tagged skill at character creation. Having high intelligence gives you more skillpoints per level. You can also find skillbooks to boost certain skills. Having high perception helps in ranged combat.
Edit: hopefully you did not choose 'good natured' trait at character creation as this lowers your combat skills. You could've also taken skilled trait that gives you more skill points but you'll get less perks(1 per 4 levels instead of 1 per 3 levels). There are couple people who can train you depending your stats and skills in arroyo. One trains in hand to hand and other in melee. You can also get sharpened spear in arroyo that is bit better than standard spear in combat.

As far as I rembember, there's no firearms in arroyo so it's hand to hand or melee

I sorta rushed through that first part. But I just went back, started a new game, and fixed up a few things that now have heavily helped my combat. thank you

No problem. Just remember to mark the most apropriate aswer as solution to indicate your problem is solved.
Hopefully you did not choose hand to hand/melee as tagged skill unless you plan to stick with one or another as otherwise you'll waste the tag as they can't be changed later.
