squid830: Or dozens of DLCs that tend to add stuff that probably should have been there in the first place. Or dozens of DLCs in general - especially since you're always restricted from taking companions with you into them, which feels so artificial. Though I did enjoy the humor of Old World Blues, despite the only companion in that DLC being a mutt you "build" yourself (and who is restricted to the area you build her in).
The DLCs in New Vegas raise the level cap, but the thing is it's really easy to hit the new cap without even heading to any of the DLC areas.
GabesterOne: nah, then bethesda would be releasing mole rat settlements, and mutant dog armor for dlc ;)
I wouldn't put it past them!
One of the New Vegas DLCs was the "gun runner's arsenal" which was basically just a bunch of new weapons. Sure they were cool weapons, but it was essentially a weapons pack. Of course they bollocksed it up - without fan patches, the "Gun Runner's Arsenal" adds extra weapons labelled as "GRA" weapons - and quite often, the GRA version and the "standard" version of the weapon have different (and incompatible) modifications! Not to mention that it's kind of silly having a "GRA" version of a weapon which most of the time isn't any different (apart from the modifications issue).
I guess they wanted to minimise disruption to save games or something, but geez they could have put a little bit of effort into it and done it properly!
(OK technically all the NV stuff was Obsidian, but it was still under the Bethesda label so they're both to blame).
