Recently, there was a change of the appearance of Fallout games in my gog.com librabry: There is no more "Fallout", but a "Fallout Classic". The same for Fallout 2 and Tactics.

If anything, this could mean a re-release (or an upscaled remaster of some sorts) is underway on time with Fallout 4 release.

What do you think?

Interesting. Yeah.. they might release "HD" version in the near future.
nice ... bring them back ;)
Does this mean that Bathesda will authorise them being sold here? Or is this just to distinguish them from future HD remasters?
Don't tease us Bathesda...

pretty please... with sugar on top... just do it.
Nah, I don't think it's that, they're Gabe's slaves.
They'll release Fallout Anthology in september, and guess what, Steam is required to play the games.

DON'T read the comments on that blog entry. The stupidity is worse than youtube. I wonder how some people are even able to breathe sometimes.

Thanks, but I'm not afraid of that, there are far worse things than that in the internet.
I just searched (ctrl+f) for the word Steam, to confirm my theory.

I felt physical pain as I read a few comments by people asking if Fallout 1 and 2 will work on Xbox One and PS4. Also, the guy who claims to have spent over 5000 USD on various Fallout junk whining about not having been able to pre-order this new collectors box before it sold out... *hand wringing motion and pained expression*

Please, I'll read five hundred racist/elitist/disassociative personality disorder comments on youtube in one sitting if it means I can forget the bethesda blog comments.
It seems you was right, mosiejczuk!

If you bought the Fallout before the re-release you already own them ;)

Updated installers are:
setup_fallout_2.1.0.18.exe
setup_fallout2_2.1.0.17.exe
setup_fallout_tactics_2.1.0.12.exe

They come with the HD patches pre-installed to add support for higher resolutions than the base games.

*scratches head*
So um....

What's wrong with that request? They're powerful enough to emulate older PC. And older Fallout games feature turn-based combat, it's not like they'd particularily difficult to control with a stick

Maybe he reacted like this because the controls would be bad.
I've played fallout 2 using gamepad one time, using a program I found in Google (joy2key, I think).
I quickly returned to the mouse!
