I got the recommended community fix (Kilap's), but didn't see this bug mentioned anywhere. And I'm not even 100% sure it's a bug, I just noticed after spending a little time in the Den that all my money has vanished along with the radio you're supposed to be able to use to help Vic fix the radio for the slaver creep. I saw nothing indicating to me that the game had stolen something from me intentionally, with any way to retrieve it, and I can't imagine it was simply a lack of feedback from the game. I checked FAQs and saw no indication of it being part of the game, so I'm forced to assume it's a bug.
Anyone else experience this or know of a workaround? Sadly, it seems that the community patches invalidate saves, which means the hours I've put in are now useless, but I hate to start over not knowing whether or not this issue may have been fixed with Kilap's patch. I assume so, if it truly be a bug, but confirmation would be nice! My web searches didn't turn up much.
Anyway, thanks!
I'm going to bet the kids in the den pickpocketed you. The items in question should be in one of the stores in the den. It might still be in the pickpocket's inventory if it happened very recently, though.

he got it.
Thanks. I find it hard to believe the game would do that and not provide any feedback. Realistic, sure, but doesn't make much sense in a game. I'll be starting a new game anyway to take advantage of the new community patch.... but I'll be more careful in the future!
Well, you can see them pickpocket you if your perception is high enough. Anyways, to avoid this problem in the future, enter combat mode a bit away from the doors flanked by kids, walk through in combat mode and then end combat on the other side. Or get rid of all of your items except for a dynamite with a lit fuse, should you be feeling particularly sadistic.

One of the reasons that makes Fallout such a great series.
Indeed, that's pretty brilliant. I guess you must need a perception of 7 or better? I believe mine was at 6. I hadn't even considered that.
Anyway, thanks again to all for the knowledge and useful commenting. GOG's forums have been a great experience for me so far, filled with surprisingly helpful and friendly people.

Possibly, although I find that Fallout likes to really up benefits with stats with even numbers. Especially when it comes to perks and their stat requirements.
Yeah I tend to check their inventory (might be wise to save first) after I see their animations.
Then again I often get rid of a few NPC-s there and stash most of my items.
