help ive been trying to get fallout 3 to work on this laptop, i first had the issue with the d3dx9_38.dll but i fixed it but now everytime i launch the game it works perfectly but when i press new game it opens the laoding screen and the whole game just shuts off or crashes i am an idiot but hopefully you guys could help me.

There are a lot of threads here discussing problems running the game. Maybe skim through them to see if any is like yours. Did you look at the support page?
