I think I lost the FOB, the device thats needed to get to the Enclave Oil Rig how I lost it well SA I placed the FOB along with other excess baggage in a locker in the Brotherhood of Steel facility because I was carrying to much stuff, so I placed it inside locker, and went out to do other stuff and after feeling prepared to do it I went back to get it only to discover that its not in the locker. At first I thought mabye I placed it in this other place where I store stuff, but its not in there either.

So I came to either 2 conlucions either:

1. I misplaced it and it could be anywhere in the Wasteland

or

2. I bug/glitch happened where it "deleted" the FOB.


Son of a Bitch this thing is gone, all that work for naught. Heed my wisdom people, never put away quest items in storage or else either you lose it or some bug happens.

And to RPG developers either make infinate storage like KOTOR or don't make key item thats used to "beat" the game.

You guys have no idea how angry I am :(

Or I know the editor works, but I'm not sure if you can add fob with it, or any items.

A little late now, but the best place for storage is in the trunk of your car.

I know I did not know the car can let you use the storage trunk until later in the game, because I did not think they allowed a storage trunk.

To late though I have already a fail-safe, I made a save file where I still have it, it was before I decided to purchase a Gauss Rifle so I will continue from there, the problem is now I have to do quests in Redding and Broken Hills all over again.

Oh yea, that's' one possibility. Luckily the stuff the kids steal in... ehh.. what was the town...
usually (always?) appear later in the sales inventory of that one salesman in the center of the village.

And yeah, they steal plot critical items.

I am still amazed I'm not considered 'childkiller' in my FO2 game... Hell I almost wish I was playing the UK version thanks to those little turds

They're still there in UK/Europe version and I think they still steal your stuff.
They were simply turned invisible so they can't be targeted...

Oh, wow. Good thing I'm playing the US version then.

Damn I should stop reading these posts - it makes me want to start playing all over again! and I have aleady finished fallout 1 twice and 2 three times... cant say i dont miss the Gauss pistol tho...
