Hello! so the problem is I'm running FNV directly from the .exe not the GOG launcher as it executes the game launcher and it resets .ini files, so is there a way to get achievements while executing the game from the .exe so I don´t get my .ini files reseted every time? Thanks in advance.

Fallout New vegas launcher like Skyrim one reset .ini files whenever executed, so if you don't want that to happend you need to play the games directly from the executable, and there resides the problem, the shortcut GoG galaxy makes executes the game launcher, ence reseting .ini files (custom fov, disabling intro movies, etc), so it isn't optimal. The solution would be playing directly from the game .exe, however If I do this I can't track my time and earn achievements. That's my problem, how can I get achievements and track game time without needing to use the shortcut gog makes? Can I change it? or is there another solution?

Try setting the files to read only after you've set them up as desired.

Thanks for clarifying, I didn't know about the launcher resetting the ini files.
Does the launcher reset the "Fallout_default.ini" too? I think it should not, considering that this file is a template. If my assumption is right, maybe you could edit this file instead of the other ones.

The launcher doesn't care about read only files, I have already tried it, in fact right now I have them in read only. I don't know excatly if it resets the one inside the game folder. "Fallout_default.ini" is it called that way because if I delete the .ini files in C:\Users\"YourUsername"\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV it will default all that settings to the established in that .ini? So I can just simply edit that one and don't care about the others? Why all guides tell you to edit the ones in documents instead the one in your game folder :l

It worked! editing default .ini makes that when using the launcher it doesn't reset any changes, but I dont know how to create a shortcut to run a game with GOG Galaxy (to track hours and achievements) after installation as I deleted it :s in favor of using the game .exe

Edit: Fixed that too, just did this:

1.Make desktop shortcut of GalaxyClient and open properties.

2.Change format of "Target:".

Example
-> "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\GalaxyClient.exe" /command=runGame /gameId=1454587428 /path="C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Fallout New Vegas"

You can check gameId in game folder, there are files with a large number that is always the same (for all the files in the folder of that game, gameid obviusly changes from game to game), this number is always in the icon (.ico) of the game that GoG makes (the one circular with withe borders, example for Fallout NV: goggame-1454587428.ico).


3.Change "Start in:" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy"
