TraAurel: I don't know excatly if it resets the one inside the game folder.
dr.schliemann: My assumption is that it does not. Please, try and check.
TraAurel: "Fallout_default.ini" is it called that way because if I delete the .ini files in C:\Users\"YourUsername"\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV it will default all that settings to the established in that .ini?
dr.schliemann: I'm not sure, but I think the answer is yes. This is exactly what a template file is usually needed for.
TraAurel: So I can just simply edit that one and don't care about the others?
dr.schliemann: I think you should try and check. However, before doing this, I suggest you to make a backup copy of the file.
TraAurel: Why all guides tell you to edit the ones in documents instead the one in your game folder :l
dr.schliemann: Because editing a template file is not generally advisable for security reasons.
It worked! editing default .ini makes that when using the launcher it doesn't reset any changes, but I dont know how to create a shortcut to run a game with GOG Galaxy (to track hours and achievements) after installation as I deleted it :s in favor of using the game .exe
Edit: Fixed that too, just did this:
1.Make desktop shortcut of GalaxyClient and open properties.
2.Change format of "Target:".
Example
-> "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\GalaxyClient.exe" /command=runGame /gameId=1454587428 /path="C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Fallout New Vegas"
You can check gameId in game folder, there are files with a large number that is always the same (for all the files in the folder of that game, gameid obviusly changes from game to game), this number is always in the icon (.ico) of the game that GoG makes (the one circular with withe borders, example for Fallout NV: goggame-1454587428.ico).
3.Change "Start in:" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy"
