I really enjoy Fallout Tactics,
but something strange happened to me while fighting turrets again.

My "Heavy-Assault guy" shot an armor-piercing rocket (or high explosive shell - both actually) at a heavy turret dealing standard 17 damage. No kidding. Amourbreakingwhopassnoncritical 17 damage each rocket.

The same guy, at the same distance, using an M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) with standard ammunition scores at least 35 damage each weapons burst (30 bullets I think).
Not counting critical hits, which where far more likely at point blank range with his M249 SAW.

Why? How?
Really?

While I can fully understand the benefits of an "Armor Piercing Rocket-Proof" heavy turret I don't get why the same turret is almost vulnerable to volleys of standard 7.62x51mm NATO bullets.

XYCat: just blast it with lasers
Thank you, I would really appreciate some energy weapons, but during the Jefferson Mission there are still no Lasers available. Yet alone some nice Plasma-Rifle.
The turrets are strange. Accurate at long ranges, really inaccurate at short ranges.
You can pretty safely hack them to bits with sledges and spiked knuckles and whatever.
