I am working on a fan project and i want to use actual sound effects from the game and i was wondering if there is a way to get the actual sound files from the game itself.

Does anyone know a way to access them? Or where i might find them?

Thanks.

You should state which game of the series you are talking about.

I guess Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I want to make an fan audio drama and I want to use the actual sound effects for like the Pip-Boy, power armor and maybe the sound you hear when you finish a quest.

I install Fallout 3 and while I can find the music i can't find the sound effects.

Any suggestions?

Download the Fallout Mod Manager, which includes the BSA Creator/Unpacker tool. Using this utility you should be able to decompress the sound files Sound.bsa located in the Data directory of the game.

Thank you! It works with FO3 and NV.
