Bought Fallout 3 / NV on release date on GOG, but NV won't start, after hitting the PLAY button. Aftter pressing PLAY, 3-4 seconds goes by, and the button becomes green again. Fallout 3 starts up like a charm, but NV still elouds me : /

did you install NVSE and NVAC?

it loads for me using those.

I am also using YUP, but only those 3.

need a link to the files?

just install NVSE, then NVAC and YUP and start the game with the regular gog icon, go to the load screen, make sure thats all loaded and exit, then reload using NVSE.exe. May as well make a shortcut to it on your desktop and delete the GOG icon at that point to avoid further confusion and or problems.

Its vanilla, i don't use mods nor am io about too. Besides shouldn't a GOG ver. like this just start, without having to use mods : /

this game wont run on steam without the "mods" (which are community fixes for the horrendous programming).

vanilla on steam leads to crashes, infinite loading screens, etc..
with fixes = no problems. (that statement is about the GOG version, the STEAM version even with the fixes runs like one of Jerries kids).

NVSE (New Vegas Script Extender) is used to load NVAC (New Vegas Anti-Crash) and YUP (Yukichigai Unofficial Patch), these add nothing to the game but instead MAKE IT PLAYABLE.

If you aren't using these to play..
you aren't playing..

not for long anyways.
