Is anyone else looking forward to it?
I personally think it's going to be great, much better than Fallout 3, thanks to Obsidian Entertainment.
Sure, KOTORII was a little disappointing, but I really think this is going to be a good game.
I'm certainly looking forward to it. Any new Fallout game will get me excited. Personally loved Fallout 3, however i've only just started playing the original Fallout games which are also quite brilliant.
Heck yes!! It's gonna be awesome with Obsidian (as long as they get sufficient time to actually finish it!)
I only really thought the ending of KotOR II was disappointing... But I'm definitely excited for this!
As long as they take the time to finish it properly this game might turn out good. KotoR 2 would of been a fine game had they actually cleared all the bugs and finished it.
I'm hoping Obsidian will only do the writing and not actual development.
I thought KotoR II was a game that got rushed and could have been better than the first if they were allowed more time to get everything right.
I look forward to see what they do with Fallout.
I'm interested, but very cautious.
Alpha Protocol isn't exactly what I was looking for, so perhaps this will be the alternative for those of us that like their RPG to have less (or no) "twitch" gameplay.
I'm cautious as well, but have high hopes :)
Pessimist reporting for duty!
It will be dumbed down as all new games are!
/pessimism
Why the hell would I not be looking forward to it? Fallout 3 kicked ass, and I'm getting the first two as soon as I can (Good Old Games is amazing, isn't it?)
What happens in Vegas, most likely involves headshots, mini-nukes, slavers that are killed that the former two, glitches, stiff animations, and invincible children!... oh, and stays in Vegas!
If it has nothing to do with Oblivion engine or first person shooters, there's hope. If it's isometric perspective and has turn based combat, maybe it'll turn something decent.
I'm very excited.
Bethesda should just have a 5+ year plan where they put out a Fallout game in a new city every year using the same engine as Fallout 3 with a few enhancements here and there that wouldn't take a whole lot of time to implement.
I would pay for every one of them.

They already are doing that ...it's called DLC....see the Pitt or Operation Anchorage.
Instead of pimping out Fallout all day long, could they just please, for the love of God, do something new???????????? Something that isn't FO or TES related, it's making them look like a one-trick pony.
Also, this little *gem* from Hines:
"Let's make sure that we're protecting what is ours and not letting somebody else do anything with it."
So they hogged up the IP and now becoming more like EA with every passing year....

Same here, I just hope they don't milk the series.
The whole problem with KotOR II was because Lucasarts rushed it's realase and put a great pressure on Obsidian. That's the whole problem with this qame and it's ending. If you forget about the ending the game was just brilliant. Especially the story and dialogue, two aspects which spoil the whole Fallout 3 experience. KotOR II had superb voice acting, great, deep characters and amazing story. That is all RPG game needs to be great.
I wouldn't worry about new Fallout instalment. Bethesda's providing the engine and whole technical stuff and Obsidian's responisible for the story. I'm already delighted. This is gonna be exactly what Fallout 3 should have been in the first place.
Look at the setting. It's gonna be like Van Buren.
