No. It has to be authenticated via Steam.

Fo4 on DVD comes with Steam version. They didn't write "It will be NOT available on GOG.com".

Hey, Bethesda guys! I will not buy Fallout 4 if it will be not available on GOG.com DRM-Free. I will not pirate it but I'll focus on other DRM-Free games. Your choice: money from me via GOG.com or no-money at all...
We won't see Fallout 4 on GOG, at least not before Fallout 3 & New Vegas get released first.

A little off-topic, but the tweet say it's come with a DVD for Fallout 4, I'm very sure that monster will be 30 GB (Skrym is near to that number), so...
What will be inside of that DVD? a simple "Hello World, install steam please" ?

When a DVD is shipped with a game, it does tend to carry some files for the game to at least make the download smaller. I mean, 4 gigs of compressed data is a decent chunk of the game already.

Okis and thanks, sound semi-logic to me, then was a good thing to stop buying physical editions with the Witcher 2.
However, will have more senses to have the full game there ready to be added to your Steam's library (a backup) instead of a small compressed part.

Why would you want a Bethesda Fallout in here? They're bad FPS and even worse RPGs with plot ranging from "look for your father" (Fallout 3) to "the son you're looking for is the main villain and a synth" (Fallout 4).

I agree, Fallout 3 was pretty bad. I am hopeful Fallout 4 will be better!

But at least they are fun, 3 not much but 4 is hella fun if you forget that it is Fallout and pretend you are playing any other post apocalyptic FPS like Metro or STALKER. The gunplay (which is IMO the very best thing of the game) makes it feel like a solid FPS and a so so action game

Also New Vegas while not my cup of tea is a more or less balanced game between the Bethesda style of game and the classic games.
Hope not.

The last two AAA games I bought on Steam, Pillars of Eternity and Witcher 3, both shipped without any DRM of any kind--just as they do on Gog. Steam doesn't even have to be running to run either games. Thanks to Obsidian and CDPR for making that decision!

But as Fo4 is Steam only, my guess would be that Bethesda has slapped some old-fashioned Steam DRM on the title--otherwise, there'd be no sense in not selling the game through GOG.

I hate it when someone does something like this. I mean whats even the point of selling the disc then? You could just sell a card with the download code.
