acare84: I can't buy the DLC's because LIVE things is not supporting my country. So bad I want to buy them.
Aliasalpha: Can you make an account for another country and use that to get the DLC? I've read about several people in england making american xbox live accounts so they can get access to the american video marketplace that has actual video content rather than the sad collection of crap the rest of the world puts up with. Not sure if that'll work for the games for windows live but it might be worth a bit of research
psamathos: Actually, don't. You may be disappointed.
Too bad this "DLC" doesn't add a real ending to the game.
psamathos: Fallout 3 HAS a real ending, the same as 1 & 2. Too bad this "DLC" doesn't add a real ending to the game.
The ending of 1 was a slideshow saying "You beat the big boss, you destroyed his organisation, here's what happened to the towns & people. Bye!"
The ending of 2 was a slideshow saying "You beat the big boss, you destroyed his organisation, here's what happened to the towns & people. Bye! Oh and you can keep playing if you want, not much point but you can."
The ending of 3 was a slideshow saying "You beat the big boss, you destroyed his organisation, here's what happened to the towns & people. Bye!"
Where's the difference?
Yes, I have United States account but my credit card's country is Turkey. And Microsoft thing only accepts United States based credit cards for United States account. :(

Where's the difference?
The difference is that there WAS no big boss. Colonel Autumn was a joke. The whole main quest line felt like it should've been a side quest. Plus, the "moral decision" of whether to use the FEV virus made no difference, it just resulted in the narrator chiding you for making the only sensible decision (How else are you going to stop the supermutant raids? They aren't going to peacefully coexist just because they have clean water.) Then again, Bethesda's writing was never their strong point.

Well yes, colonel autumn was a joke (especially since I had the alien blaster at the time, turned him to pretty blue sparkly dust), I was referring to the end of the enclave base. As in fallout 1, you could blow everything up, run away or simply talk the boss to death. you could take out the master in fallout 1 quite early, much the same way as this and the project purity replaces the vats. Huge fight to get there (more cinematic than challenging though) and then climactic decision at the end.
I thought the FEV was a practical solution to the problem with the exception of the whole emptying the entire wasteland thing and I liked the idea of the noble sacrifice. Of course I HATED the fact you couldn't send in the one friendly who was immune to radiation to do the job, that was as lame as the "I've gotta do this alone" ending of rainbow 6 vegas 2 whch will probably piss me off for as long as I remember the game. Thats the only way I can see of them changing the ending with the 2nd (?) DLC where you can play after the main story. I've not finished my evil game yet so Ive not seen if/how you're railroaded into doing the ending or if you can just bugger off
I found the ending a lot more satisfying than fallout 2. I loved the idea of convincing the scientist to help kill the enclave (and was annoyed that so many of the hostiles survived his attempt), I hated the "oh just place dynamite next to this console and it'll kill everyone" (why the hell couldn't I use my godlike science skill I'd spent half the game building up?) and I thought the big boss was simply crap. He was nothing but a tank who I'd only seen once before in a holo-recording and had never heard mention of by anyone else in the base, even the bloody president. It's not like I was trying to avoid him either, I was doing everyquest I could get my hands on and exploring like mad because thats the thing I love the most about games like this. Granted I did sort of shoehorn my actions in the last fight when I enabled the turrets early on but I suspected I'd have a chat with the boss before he turned hostile and the turrets shot at him.

from a first person perspective, your character just blacks out, it's possible you could be revived, I suppose.I thought the FEV was a practical solution to the problem with the exception of the whole emptying the entire wasteland thing and I liked the idea of the noble sacrifice. A bit lame but possible I suppose. Maybe if they did that they could put in a "slowly dying unless I get therapy from a place on the other side of the wasteland" (autodoc in the ruins of the enclave base or a vault perhaps) timer or you get a mutation you have to deal with early on or everyone wants to kill you

well, seeing as water doesn't hold radiation well. Then, Bethesda is going crazy nutjob with their storyline, so really anything is possible because they aren't adhereing to any real ruleset.

Bethesda just can't or won't get decent writers for their goddamned games. Hell, anyone know who George Ziets is? He used to work at Obsidian; he left them to go to Bethesda and went BACK to Obsidian after a mere 5 months. I wonder why....
GZ: What??! You people are just NOW discovering skill checks and meaningful dialogue ?? You don't know about choices and consequences??!? WTF??!?! get me the hell out of here. Jesus H. Christ......Hello? Obsidian? Is my job still available? It is? Awesome! These guys are brain dead.

Nice of them to let you buy the actual ending to the game seperately after they left it out of the retail release. Kind of like how they let you buy the room behind that locked door in the Mage's guild in Oblivion seperately.
