darthspudius: Yeah it does remove the GFWL. Well unless the user is too lazy to do it. It is a farely old mod.
avatar
0Grapher: If you plan to mod your game at all there is no reason not to use this "mod". NMM is not as good as FOMM for Fallout 3, and I've even seen it running on Linux, so, I really can't see any reason at all not to use it. :)
If someone doesn't use FOMM and FOSE he should question if he is well informed about Fallout 3, imo. :)
Well there is a point. Not everyone wants to use GFWL and it instantly deactivates it which is great.

darthspudius: Well there is a point.
I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. :)
There is a point in using these mods. Wasn't that what I said?

When you're using Fallout Mod Manager, it launches Fallout 3 directly via its .exe file, therefore without Games for Windows Live. At least it worked that way last time I checked. I think that's the point 0Grapher is trying to make.

haha maybe so. I don't know. Too tired to check. If I got it wrong my bad sorry. :P

Really? I never had that feature when I last used it. Good feature though.

Fenixp: snip
Maybe you're right. FOMM definitely launches the .exe file (Either standard Fallout 3 or FOSE) but I'm not sure if that's the only thing it does. -Edit: Do you mean that the Fallout.exe never uses GFWL?

What you should definitely keep in mind is not to use your Fallout Launcher to start up the game! :D
-You shouldn't even change graphics settings in the Launcher. :P
It has so many problems.

It used to be the case, yes. Might have been fixed since then, but I don't believe so.
I think the reason the "classic" titles are back is only because Bethesda knows there is a market for them here, an established customer base for these kinds of games. Fallout 3 is still a flagship title for some time to come, they are not going to take any chances investing any more time and money making new builds, adjusting the price and finding new markets while it is still selling well enough.

I hate Fallout 3 with a burning passion, but I'd welcome it at 80% off for like 3 USD just to experiment a bit more with it during a summer sale.
Sufyan, why do you hate Fallout 3 so much ?

I'm thinking about submitting a suggestion that the Fallout forum be split in two. We should have a Classic Fallout forum and nuFallout forum so the Besthesda fans don't continually annoy us and so we don't have to traumatize them with the truth.

a) The truth is that Fallout 3 exists and it is an official part of Fallout series. That you want to ignore it is your own predicament, do not force it on others.
b) Yes, the unavoidable "Fallout 3 sucks" troll in every other topic discussing Fallout 3 is exceptionally annoying. I guess reading topic titles and skipping what you don't like is too daunting of a task for one too scared to accept there are opinions different to his own which are equally valid.

Thunker: Now that we have Morrowind , you think Fallout 3 could be on the site ?
Hoped it, and most important, that Gog-s support fix the problem of Fallout 3 with anything more new than Windows Vista (Truly, Bethesda just did not care about compatibility) and the RAM fix too.

I think Oblivion would be next. Fallout 3 is still very popular on steam despite being a 6 year old game. Oblivion is older and is under the shadow of Skyrim. But who knows? Maybe they will make a nice surprise.

The unavoidable "Fallout 3 is an official part of the series so get used to it" troll is really annoying. Seems like a perfect reason for separate forums.

Oh, it isn't now? Oh my, I wonder who owns rights to the property ... Oh, Bethesda, Bethesda owns the rights. So it's Bethesda who gets to add new official installments now. It's pretty simple, isn't it? I guess Imachuemanch was right, truth does hurt.

Besides, how would adding a new subforum help exactly? You have already proven you can't read titles, more Fallout forums would surely just confuse that little brain of yours. It's a miracle you managed to navigate into Fallout subforums without having to choose between two of them as it is. It's difficult for me to imagine why would you click a topic called "Fallout 3" if your goal is to avoid topics about Fallout 3+ otherwise - the naming scheme does not leave much room for imagination.

Being honest, the only game that has that benefit here in Gog is The Witcher (Though I could be wrong), and that is probably because the close relation between Gog and Red Project.

So basically, the almost certain universal true is, if the Bethesda's Fallout come to Gog, they are going to have this unique forum.

P.d. I'm making a politic parody from the security top guy in Mexico with the "universal true" don't take it personal :P
