Hey there,

is it possible to make any of the save editors (Falche2, F12se) work with the GoG version of Fallout 2 and the Restoration Mod?

Whenever I input the save file location, F12se just gives me a whole lot of warnings about not finding .msg files.
I usually just look for whatever I want in plain hex.

Works for any game (well, unless the save file is compressed by some strange home-brew algorithm). But yeah, that's likely not for just anyone to do right out of the blue.

Sorry, just trolling actually.

You have to input the directory of the game, NOT the save folder itself

like this e.g

C:/GOG/Fallout 2 <--This one is CORRECT

NOT

C:/GOG/Fallout 2/Data/Savegame <--This one is WRONG

At least that how F12se (I don't know about Falche) works on my installation with the Restoration Mod.

You can change the directory by editing the F12se.ini or just deleting it and running F12se again.

Editor works on RP. Try bugging the author (of the editor) on NMA.
I don't know about F12se, but F2se works for me, without any problems.

Don't worry about it, happened to me as well first time it tried the editor :)
