It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

AAs the subject says: how do you make it run properly on w8? (or is that even my problem?)

Im at home for easter, and bored, only brought my laptop, i wanna play fallout2, but my laptop runs w8, downloaded it earlier, but it refuses to start.
I only get the message
"Fallout 2 cannot be started" when attempting to start it (i've tried in admin mode)

Let me add: compatability modus doesn't help at all either. (my game has run properly on other computers before though)

You can go to the directory and run the .exe there, or you can edit the direct access and change:

"installpath\GOG Games\Fallout 2\GOGLauncher.exe" GOGFALLOUT2
by
"installpath\GOG Games\Fallout 2\fallout2.exe"

I took this from this thread: http://www.gog.com/forum/fallout_series/fallout_2_on_windows_8_1

Credit to DalekSec for the solution.

(Copypasta of my post in another thread)
Thanks, that solved all my problems, i feel like a complete moron for not just testing it from the directory, but at least i get to play FO2 :)

Thanks a lot.
