desser90: Hello! I'm currently, as the title mentions, doing a let's play series that will also serve as a walkthrough for fallout 2, if you all are having trouble with the quests and such. I'm using the Fallout 2 resoration mod, which adds a huge ammount of content. here's a link to my videos, I hope you enjoy!

I agree totally about the newer games, New Vegas is the best of them.
It isn't exactly what I wanted (isometric cRPG, great story and dialogues like FO1 and 2, etc), but it was a big step in the right direction. I hope FO5 will be similar to New Vegas.
Since you also like the old-school games, I suggest you give Fallout Resurrection a try. It's a fantastic total conversion mod created by some Czech guys (don't worry it was translated to english, recently). More than 10 years working on this mod, it's clear these fans are very dedicated, in creating an experience similar to the classic Fallouts (It's more like FO1 than 2. FO2 has many jokes and movie references. They wanted the more serious tone of Fallout).
If you don't mind less focus in dialogue and a more linear experience, more combat, I can also recommend Fallout Tactics (developed by Micro Forté) to you. They did a good job.
It's a good spin-off game. You control a squad, and the Brotherhood of Steel gives you a lot of missions.
It similar to Jagged Alliance.
