Fallout 1.5 resurrection is legit. If you want another game like FO1 and FO2, this is it. Plus, it isn't hobbled by mandated morality, so the righteous choice isn't always the "best" choice. I don't agree with how everything played out, but given that the makers are Czech it all makes senses.

It's an amazing game, one of the best I've played since FO2.

Awesome - was wondering when they were going to finish the English translation, then completely forgot about it.

Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out: http://resurrection.cz/en/download/

I haven't checked it out myself yet - so no idea how good it is or how good the translation is - but from what I saw a while back it's likely to be the best non-canon Fallout mod.
i ve played the mod in czech and although i didnt finish it, id say its very good. atmosphere is very similar to that of f1, quests are nicely written

Thanks man. Never heard of it before. It looks interesting. Too bad Fallout ended after Fallout 2.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out.
I already beaten this mod two times, it's great!
PLAY this, if you want a challenge (game is not afraid of being difficult), and a post-apocalyptic place with dark moments. You will find much cruelty here. It has a serious tone, similar to the first Fallout.
DON'T PLAY, if you want jokes and references to books and movies, and more 'light' world, like Fallout 2.

If you disliked Fallout 1 (god knows why), there's little reason to try this mod.

I'm playing the fallout classics now for my very first time and I'm almost finished with fallout 1. Would be it a good decision to continue with fallout 1.5 or shall I better go first with fallout 2, which I never have touched before?

When I choose Fallout 2, I will even play it without restoration. Just for the purpose that I will see on a second playthrough what was cut from the final game.

Well, hope you are aware that in typical play trough of any Fallout game you will likely see only part of the content anyway (unaided by walk trough guide or lots and lots of experience I mean, and even then clear and full 100% are technicaly impossible I belive). So it may not be that obvious.

I don't see why not.
Some of the characters from Fallout 1 appear in Fallout Resurrection.
And some events from the first game are mentioned, so it's good you played FO1.

Just make sure to install killap's patch.
It fixes a lot of bugs.

Personally, I'd recommend FO1->FO2->FO1.5 Both FO1 and FO2 are a lot more forgiving and "fun" than FO1.5 That said, FO1.5 is really awesome. Honestly, as a new player you might be better off going FO1->FO1.5 since some of the exploits from FO2 don't work as well.

I'm torn because FO1.5 is hard. Knowing how to game the system (even if they plugged a lot of holes) is really helpful. Especially in a cap-starved and cap-hungry world.

If you have a high tolerance for frustration I really think you could go either way. It's a love letter to FO, especially FO1. If you have love, the frustration makes it all the more satisfying. But I could see it being a big turn off if you don't have that love.
Have not played below Fallout 3 and may give it a try or may not:-)

You might want to try Fallout 1 or 2 first; Fallout 1 and 2 (and 1.5) are so different than Fallout 3 and later that I would argue they're not even the same game genre.

Yup, unless he reads Per Jorner's guide, he will miss a lot of stuff in his first playthrough.

Yes,I have noticed the chatter on the difference but am not keen on going backwards in game series even if there is a difference.
Good to see so many great opinions about Resurrection. I was looking forward to try this and you guys convinced me it's worth a shot.

It's really hard to bridge the gap after the first two classic parts. I miss the old Fallouts.
