Hello all,

I have been pulling my hair out for the past hour trying to figure out how to bring the sound back to either of these games. I downloaded them years ago just fine, but now that I'm downloading on a different PC, all of a sudden the sound doesn't work.

I scoured the GOG forums for an answer, I played with the .cfg file and changed the sound part to funnel to data/sound/music. I copied the music files from the sound/music folder into the data/sound/music folder. I tried reinstalling it. I tried reinstalling GOG Galaxy. I tried downloading the backup setup from the GOG website. I tried playing with re configuring my speakers. I even tried to change the resolution to the lowest and highest settings. Absolutely nothing worked.

Any suggestions?

Did you try to install FIXT ?

That was the only thing I didn’t do. Is it available for Fallout 2 as well?

This is not right at all. Sfall is an engine modification for Fallout 2. Fixt is a giant mod for F1 that incorporates many other mods. They have nothing in common, and are not equivalents.

As for the sound problem, first off, which sound are you missing? All of it? Just music? Movies too?

Right, this is the FIXT equivalent, you can either choose the pure bug fix ( unofficial patch ) or the Restoration Project which also includes the bug fix but also other enhancements ( like Sfall ) and cut content.

Yeah I'm missing all sound Thanks, I'll try this out. Crazy how the game doesn't work normally when I download it from GOG tho :(
