Ok, I know this is a troll post, true. However, I feel the need to have a bit of fun, us "older gamers" need to find a little joy every now and then, since our classic games are so useless as the poster mentions. In this case, the systematic destruction of a misguided post.

First, I can't go any further without pointing out the irony that is dripping from this post. Here we have a poster, who is claiming our classics have been left in the dust and the current crop is where the action is. Seeya in 10 years buddy and another punk will be saying how Fallout today is a joke in graphics.

We dont play these games because of the graphics, we play them because they go beyond graphics, something which I don't think your yet mature enouph to understand. Perhaps one day.

Oh, one last thing. I hate to break it to you and I'm really glad your enjoying New Vegas on that Alienware laptop. Looks like its definitly rocking the house without a doubt. Want to know whats cool about older gamers? We get all the toys.

Now if you will excuse me, I need to go turn on my Epson 8500UB projector so my gaming HTPC can push 1080P glory onto my 135" screen and play me a little New Vegas :)

Out of curiosity, are there any good mods or expansions for original Fallout series? I can't seem to find any legit ones here on the web. Like the G.E.C.K. kit maybe? Does anyone know if they have that out for the original series? I'm looking to mod the original and have some fun and/or cheat to make it much easier. :-)

I know that, its what I been using to look for the mods. The sites I find seem alil shady is all. I wasn't sure if they were legit. Thats why I was asking the knowledgeable community here at Gog.com, because most of the people here at this site know what they are talking about and not just BS-ing one another. :-/

But it's ok if no one wants to help, I'm sure eventually I come across a good and legit mod for the game.

*Off topic, I wish Steam had a mod section in their store. Valve is an indie developer, so I'm not sure why they haven't bothered to invest in something like that for their community.

I know this now, like 10 minutes after I posted, I found the thread. Silly me. *LOL*

Giving the game a 2nd chance, I found it to not be so bad actually. The learning curb is somewhat steep, but overal I'm buying into the story. Its kinda growing on me. I'm about two hours into the main quest right now. Some of the quests and objectives are tricky, but managable. I can't wait to see the ending. I hope it ends well. I'm trying to play as a good person through this story playthrough. Wish me luck. :-)

P.S. The graphics are actually kinda good for this game running on the Nvidia GT 335M. (Even for a game being like 10+ years old)

Fallout: New Vegas sucks on the XBOX 360!!! It crashes constantly and suffers from low frame rate. I'm glad I bought it for PC instead. I'm probably going to sell the 360 and just stick with my M11x PC. :-D

But as far as I'd understood, we were talking about indie as in the opposite of 'mainstream and financially supported bya publisher', not independent as in 'not a subsidiary of...' .

Point being - Valve is their own publisher capable of injecting enormous sums of money in the development of mainstream products, so, not indie.

Indeed. The only one i can think of that i will be having fun anytime soon with, is Jagged Alliance 3. Unfortunately the true RPGs are dying and there isnt a damn thing we can do about it. Though given the opportunity, i would gladly invest in a company that would produce what i like. This^^

So because they were successful they can't be independent? That seems like a rather... counter-productive way of looking at things.

I think I've gotten my message across quite poorly. Thing is, we're arguing semantics here, really.
Valve is independent as much as the next big boy is, say Blizzard, because there's noone breathing down their neck, waving their paychecks. But neither adhere to the indie way of game design, publishing, marketing etc.

We're talking huge-budget/little to no originality products. But that's business.
