The program crashes to a black screen when I successfully do a science skill on a computer.
Anyone solved that problem in Fallout 2?

Wow. Never had that problem.
Is it particular computer, or does any successful science roll do it?

IT has done it on every sucessful science roll on any computers, i haven't really tried science on anything else so I don't know.
Are you using any mods/patches etc?

[bad joke]maybe it's actually a critical failure science skill on a computer?[/bad joke]
Then may I suggest making use of one of the unoffical patches - it may fixed the bug which is causing this.
For instance:
http://www.atomicgamer.com/file.php?id=29465
However, using these patches will render save games incompatible however.

do you see under 'my message' where it has the chain link? well the chain link represents web link, so now you know how to easily put in the code to link to other websites! :)
EDIT:
why the minus one? I'm being helpful...

My mistake, I am used to forums which automatically parse links as such.
What happens when you successfully use science on a computer anyway?
Maybe it will help my figure out what's wrong if i know that.
Does it open a dialog window like the computer in the Gecko reactor?
Depends greatly on the computer.
Some computers need you to pass a science roll before you can even access them. Some off additional functionality if you pass science while there are a few which you can "hack" if you have sufficent science.
There's also a couple that just give XP if you pass the roll.
