It appears i've made an huge error on my first play through. I reloaded my save on the train station and noticed the train moving on its own. I ended up walking the tracks to then jump off and progressed by randomly hitting enemies and leveling up. I then realized I couldn't travel anywhere that until i followed the path of radiating swamp to find the comfy bed leading to guard. On that path, it led me to Churchill the dog which I obtained without getting off train.

I'm not sure i'm cheating or managed to pickle myself out of the story but I did get to explore and kill monsters and humans which didn't bore me too much.

Change of tune on this comment. I found a really big bug when I reached the site of the train wreck. Oh well it's my wasted hours... but at least I know were some good stuff is located near that station.

Well you may call it a bug I call it a feature. lol. Anyway yeah I can replicate that bug by just getting on the train, when it moves I load a auto save of me entering the station, and poof the train is gone allowing me to level up quickly going to all the surrounding areas, and not getting penalized for riding the train nor having to deal with the 50/50 chance of the game crashing after the title screen.

I'm sure this is a bug.
Perhaps it is a bug, but not really in FOLON - this seems more like a weird bug in the FO4 engine, where the animation or script or whatver for moving the train keeps going if I immediately load a save from just before getting on the train (if I load such a save from much later in the game, or if I quit first, the train remains stationary). It might take a while to confirm, but I have a hunch this would lock you out of the main quest, and indirectly block progress on other quests by preventing you from getting the gas mask or gaining access to Westminster.
