I just got to level 4 after about six hours. I tend to explore most of the nooks and crannies and walk to enjoy the sights, not run between locations.

I've had just one crash; other than that it's running 60 fps on my Ryzen 5600x/Radeon 6750XT/32GB system without a hitch.

Load times when entering or leaving areas can take longer than expected. No other game play issues noted.

It's definitely more of a survival game than vanilla FO4, so be prepared! Much fewer weapons, armor, and resources. You have to use food and drink to heal and reserve stimpacks for combat emergencies. A lot of the open buildings and places you can search don't have much of a reward, if any -- reflecting a hundred years or more of people scavenging the buildings. I never liked how even centuries after the Great War, in FO3/4/FNV you could go into any building and just pick up supplies like no one had ever thought to do that before!

I'm really enjoying the setting and game -- great job, FOLON!

Agreed, however the crashes for me now are a real put off from playing.

How far are you location wise? Try avoiding the larger citys for now if you don't want total crashes and corrupted saves. I am just telling you so you don't have your fun ruined like mine has.
Played for 30 minutes.

Couldn't get out of the first two rooms.

Found a walkthrough today that shows the player just walking into complete blackness to open a door.

Game is too dark. They need a gamma correction setting.

I assume this is all over the game, so I give up.

There's a torch you should be able to find and pick up when you need it.

I agree, although if you keep going a bit you'll get a flashlight. I'm personally stuck due to the train bug and so far nothing has worked in terms of preventing the CTD after getting on the train.

Yes, I assume that's why they didn't fix that, although it is a rather poor way to start playing.

LOLS!

I need it NOW.

Even if I'd found it, I can't equip it since I can't open the Pip-Boy as I don't have that either.

You get the pip boy before the flashlight. I didn't try it, but you can probably bump the gamma up until you're pas that secret door.
For crashing, make sure Buffout is installed. I am hours in and haven't crashed even once.

YES!

Because there's a door you cannot find unless you watch some video showing a guy walking into a very specific spot of complete black and suddenly a door opens.

That sounds like a gamma issue on your monitor - not something to do with the game.

Somebody needs to make instructions for this.
