This is my first time ever installing a conversion mod in anything. I followed the instructions and got the game up and running, but now that I've gotten beyond the train, it crashes on me with no prior warning.

I have tried several of the fixes I saw. Changed F4SE to admin privileges. The Fallout London launcher, too.

Updated the settings on the Fallout launcher to make sure they were low. Full screen, not borderless window.

I even lowered the draw distance in the in-game display settings.

I don't know what else to try or look for. Like I said, this is my first conversion mod so I'm feeling really lost trying to make sure it's working right. I thought it was, since I managed to get as far as the guy who was injured and needed a med kit. But that is as far as I've managed to go before constantly adjusting for the crashes has just left me at a loss. I don't know what else could be causing these problems.

The game is pretty much broken a majority of the time, I had success with going to Fallout 4 Nexus Mod and downloading the mod named Buffout and also the mod Fallout 4 Script Extender. It runs right now with those allowing me to atleast play for like a hour or two before crashing again.
I'm having issues with crashes as well.
I can only play for 1-2 minutes before the game crashes.

Installing the Buffout 4 mod and changing various display settings has done nothing to alleviate the problem, the game still keeps crashing every couple minutes.

The mod feels like it was released too early with too little testing

Have the same problem. got everything up and running, played up to the train, got the logo animation, and then the game just crashes. Also, somehow alt tabbing changed which monitor it runs on

You need to install the Buffout 4 mod and the mod to prevent weapon debris crashing. If you did those 2 things, then it could be your video driver.

I had also constant crashings. But after installing the two mods mentioned in the sticky post and the newest nvidia driver everything is fine. First I had the mods in the wrong game folder I think. I now have them in the original Fallout 4 GOTY and in the Fallout London folder. Maybe that helped :-)
Also make sure that BakaFramework ESM is active. For some reason it wasn't enabled by default on some people's installs. After I enabled that I stopped having random crashes.

This is one thing I don't see mentioned in many places. Hopefully it helps resolve your issue, or someone elses. I know it helped resolve mine.

I didn't have to change permissions on anything. I also don't use the script extender version contained in the mod install file. I just use the official.

I highly suggest you watch Gophers install guide on Youtube. He goes through everything step by step, and has helped many who were having issues otherwise. The comments also list a couple of tips.

The videos in question are
Fallout:London - How to manually downgrade (this one is relevant if you are using a steam version of Fallout 4)
Fallout:London - A guide to installing
Fallout:London - 3 essential Fixes

If you want it in playlist form, the playlist title is The road to fallout:london
Just skip the introduction video to get to the other 3 I mentioned.

I hope you manage to get everything working properly and are able to enjoy the gameplay.

Enjoy the gameplay? This is not a game it is a mod, please inform yourself before saying something so ridiculous.

You yourself called it a game in your earlier post.

However, that aside, I'm curious to know does the mod have no gameplay? Is it just static shots of an alternate London timeline with no interaction? It may use the FO4 base but it is a separate game (locations, characters, quests, etc.) that you can actually play - seems to me that is gameplay. What was it you said about informing yourself before saying something so ridiculous...

You sound ridiculous right now
I seemed to have fixed my problem. I was crashing all the time, I got rid of every fallout 4 file on my system, including the my documents and any steam fallout 4 folders. So there was no trace of fallout 4 and London on my system.
Using GOG, I reinstalled both Fallout 4 and then fallout London. Turned off cloud saves. It seems to have fixed the crashing. I had one crash after the train, restarted the game and so far have had six hours straight with no problems.
I shall wait and see how it goes tomorrow when I play again.

Using the "Buffout 4" mod at Nexusmods reduces the frequency of the crashes, but doesn't eliminate them totally. Sometimes a crash would occur while loading a saved game that was working before. In that case, I have to load some other save (one that doesn't crash), fast travel to the location of the saved game that crashed, then load that saved game again. And it doesn't crash this time.
How to Install Fallout 4 London and play with much fewer crashes to desktop (CTD)
==================================================================
1) Install the correct version of Fallout 4 Release : v1.10.163.0
2) Install the Fallout 4 London MOD https fallout4london.com release
3) Run the Original Fallout 4 Launcher first
4) Select Options
5) Set a lower Graphic Setting
6) Then Run the f4se_loader.exe
7) Game on and mind the gap

In the English language we would still consider that gameplay. What would you call it, modplay?
