I spotted this on neogaf few minutes ago and i hope they will release this on GOG as well, or i'm hoping they will give this update for free for those who bought the game from GOG

This better be coming here...
This is official now, they released a trailer here.

As Aspyr is the developer of the remastered edition, I would expect this to be sold separately here, if at all.
Just saw an ad for this. Reading the FAQ on their official website, it looks like the game is Steam-exclusive for PC, Mac and Linux. I hope that's not true.

That said, it appears the only differences are higher resolutions, more detailed textures and widescreen support. Not something I really care about, but it would definitely be a nice upgrade compared to my current GOG copy. They did it once with Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, so I don't see why they couldn't do the same thing again.
it's basicly a patched version...let's hope they follow the good example of Outcast and release it as a free optional update here for the owners of the Original version. They put a lot more work and effort in the new version of outcast but somehow i don't think they will do this here. I am not buying it again though.
The game is available on Steam, Amazon (as a Steamworks game) and GameAgent (as a Steam key). There doesn't seem to be a DRM-free version available. But Aspyr has apparently recently been in touch with GOG to release some of their games here, so maybe it'll be available sooner or later.
hope we are getting the full hd resolutions via a patch...
greetings

If I have a choice between getting the remastered version from Steam or GOG, I'd rather get it here. Please let us know, GOG, ASAP if the remastered version will be available here for sale or as an upgrade for customers who already bought Fahrenheit from you. Thank you.
Why does everybody want it for free?

They put a little work into the title to upgrade it a little and so we should be willing to pay a little. Seriously guys, it's 8€. That's a cocktail in a bar.

Outcast 1.1 was a gift. And guess what? I bought it on steam, although I already had it from gog. Why? To support the developer. Give me somethign I like...and I will give you money :) I mean, that IS what I'm working for. To buy things I like.

Silver83: Why does everybody want it for free?
Only two people said that so far. Don't be too quick to extrapolate and jump to conclusions.

A free update would be awesome obviously, but I wouldn't mind paying for the upgrade for a fair price myself.
I don't want it for free - OK, not true, I'd be happy for it to be free, but I'm willing to pay for it.

But I want it here. If I wanted to deal with intrusive DRM, forced patches and mandatory internet connections to play games, I'd be having this discussion on a Steam forum, not a GOG one.

I'm certainly not buying it through Steam.
Did we ever get the remastered patch?
