Hello,
With the upcoming increase in price I'm tempted to buy this game. However, I can't decide between buying the game on gog (which I'd preferably do) or on the developer's website.
It's pointed out that the gog version comes with an upgrade key, allowing to activate it on the developer's website. Afaik, the website offers a DRM-free version and allows for a steam key, BUT as stated on their faq page:
```
If I buy the game on your Purchase page will I be able to get a Steam key?
Yes, that is possible. After you have bought the game you can connect it to your Steam account at your profile page and then have your Steam key emailed to you. The linking to the Steam account is an anti-fraud mechanism. However this free steam key only applies to purchases made directly on our webpage, any purchases from 3rd party retailers are not eligible for a steam key.
```
So what does this "upgrade key" exactly do?
Will I get the steam version as well if I buy it on gog and activate it on the developer website?
Is the DRM-free version multiplayer compatible (without a factorio account)?
I'd appreciate if someone, ideally someone owning this game, could clarify this for me.
Thanks in adavance
