Loved this game back in the day. Saw it here about 2 weeks ago and had to get it of course.

Game starts fine and is playable, but I never get prompted to id any aircraft. It goes directly to the roster, and all my missions start off in training mode. Am I missing something? The missions play fine, but of course I'm not earning any points for completing them.

Unfortunately gog removed the aircraft ID portion of the game with an update, which was one of my fondest memories of the game :(

Default is training mode, and if you want to change it you have to click on the CO's office door in the ready room. This will take you to a screen where you select the part of the world you want to fly in as well what kind of missions you want to do (see attachement).

Ugh. Figures that it was something that simple. Thanks!
The aircraft ID part was the (terribly ineffective) copy protection. Since this game is meant to have all DRM removed, and who is going to pirate it these days anyway, it's been removed.

I also fondly remember beating the copy protection, back in the day :)
